Summer Sliding

71308c

...is finally here and it's just in time for...winter? Maybe you can think warm thoughts while knitting these to keep your feet warm until summer arrives. It has been a long road to write this pattern. There were so many decisions...charts vs. written out, print vs. pdf, etc. Those that know me also know that it takes me a long time to make a decision on anything. Never mind about all that, you probably want to get straight to the details.

12909oThe green pair were knit with Wollmeise 100% sockenwolle in Frosch. The purple pair were knit with Fly Designs Lace Wing in Petrol. Any solid or subtly variegated yarn with a good twist will look great with this pattern.

Summer Sliding is a toe-up sock pattern with a gusset/patterned heel flap type of heel. It's also fully charted and comes in three sizes. The pattern is rather stretchy and those three sizes should accommodate a wide range. Each size has mirrored charts and the sock can be worn with either the more open or solid side facing out. Or you can even make two socks with just one of the charts to make things simpler.

Do you come to my house and sit with me while I knit? I would need a 'live in tutor'! heehee! Love the designs and bold colors! Very nice! Your socks are the BEST!

I'm so glad you published the pattern. I've been waiting. Now I need to get the courage to knit them. You knit your socks so fast! How many hour would you say it takes you to knit them?

Lavender Dreamer- I'm pretty sure that's not included in the pattern price. ;-) But it would be so cool if you started to knit socks!

Ellen-I don't know how many hours it takes me to complete a pair of socks. I can finish a pair in 2-3 days if I really work on it a lot through out the day.
